Indiana Yearly Meeting Sessions July 24-27, 2008 |

What Happened at Yearly Meeting 2008? Gratitude was expressed to Presiding Clerk Susan Kirkpatrick and Recording Clerk Tom Hamm who both are completing terms of service. Our new Presiding Clerk is Greg Hinshaw and Janis Sizelove is assuming the role of Recording Clerk. Budgets for 2009 were approved. The program assessment for next year will be $73 per active member with the mission goal remaining at $75. Approval was voiced to send a letter of concern to congressional leaders regarding the potential military conflict with Iran. The Earlham Task Force recommended a new emphasis in our relationship with the college centered in a ministry of presence there. This was approved, but the future formal relationship between Earlham and IYM is yet to be determined. The Task Force, in conjunction with the Executive Committee has been charged with continuing to work on this issue and report progress annually.
