Since mid-March, many Friends have helped collect a whole garageful of discarded computers and other electronic devices for safe recycling by former inmates working to restore their lives through employment at Workforce, Inc., in Indianapolis.  A significant portion of their wages is raised by reclaiming precious metals from the electronics.  In early May, the items were counted and reported to the Indiana Yearly Meeting Peace & Christian Social Concerns Committee as our Quarterly Meeting's 2010 Woolman Award nomination.  Below are photos from June 3, 2010 when three representatives from WorkForce, Inc came to collect the items.  Three men from the Randolph County Pollution Solution also helped load the 6 pallets of items to be recycled.
